In line with the strategy of the Central Bank of Qatar, the Qatar Financial Centre Authority (QFCA) and the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA) have announced a framework to lay the foundation for QFC's digital assets. These rules include the tokenization process and the legal recognition, custody, arrangement, transfer and exchange of property rights to tokens and underlying assets. In addition, the framework also provides for the legal recognition of smart contracts.
